Since then, so much has changed
I'm still the same man that I was before
Knowing that I can be without anything scares me away from being alone
Now, that I know what's going on
I can look back and see You
And I made You wait, as I turned away
If I could rewind, watch all my life
Just pass me by, I could see You
If I could rewind, I'd take back the lies
And all of those times I hurt You
Rewind By Pillar
What are the three alphabets that come out from a certain individual when army's over? The time when we receive our pink IC and army transcript? What do people shout out when it's all over? The answer is......
ORD LOH!!!!!
BTW, that pic above was a gift from my CG. Knowing that I love Marvel and DC comics, they gave me as a gift.
And that's how I look like. LOL.
Finally, my long awaited freedom has arrived. Something that every soldier even dreamed of. It's also something in which we count when we were in the army. But now, it's a life changing moment for me. And for those who ended their army life.
In my very firsy blog post as ya'll have read, I was enlisted on February 10th 2011. And it was a thursday. After BMT, I went to Specialist Cadet School, following my 10C4I in Stagmont Camp and then ending my journey at Maju Camp in 6 SIR as a RSM runner, Now, on 7th December 2012, I've finally ended my life as a Soldier and begun my life as a civilian.
Although I ended my army life, I won't forget what army as taught me as well. And more importanly, my friends. Tay Xuxuan, Salikin and Lim Yu Jie. Frankly, I never thought I would make close friends before I ORD. But thanks to the Good Lord above, I've got great friends.
And I'm never forgetting at all.
Tay Xuxuan. The first friend I made when I entered 6 SIR. He was the reason why I started tithing. Even doing quiet time too.
And who could ever forget him? He was the last person I bid farewell too. And am glad I did remember to. Salikin. I pray that my friendship with him will grow forever.
And here's what Xuxuan and Yu Jie gave me.
I'm seriously fortunate to have such great friends who can write an ORD card for me. I believe this is the reward God has given me for befriending them and keeping them close. They both wished me good luck in my future endeavours and emphasised that I should beware of the civilian world. And they're absolutely right. The important note is that they both miss me and wanted me to keep in touch.
And that's exactly what I will do and always will. I don't forget my friends. Just like I won't forget my CG who did this too.
It's not the order or a task that matters, It's the heart that matters. It's something I remember when I give my building fund this year. My first.
Now that I ended my army life, I'm free to invite my friends for Christmas. I can't wait for it. Let Christmas come tomorrow. I'll pray to God for people to agree to meet Him for Christmas and experience the love and presence of Him. For they truly deserve this blessing.
And yes, I want to thank everyone for making this day a wonderful moment. God made this happen. So He deserves the first thanks.
Thank You, Father. Thanks, Xuxuan. Thanks, Salikin. Thanks, Lim Yu Jie. Thanks, DLE 1. Thanks, Rachel.
